Lower Canada College LibGuides: Middle School, Senior School, and Pre-U Digital Resources

Secondary School Databases (7-12)

Got an assignment? Use these databases for your research!

Here are some advantages to using databases:

  • You can find information that isn’t available through a Google search.
  • You can find different types of sources on your topic in one place (scholarly journals, books, newspapers, magazines, etc.).
  • These resources have been selected by educators, so you know they are of good quality.
  • Many of our databases allow you to save sources directly to your Google Drive.
  • Sources have citations already provided in MLA, APA, or Chicago that you can copy and paste directly into your Works Cited or Reference list.
  • Using databases is good practice for CEGEP and university, where your advanced research skills will put you ahead.

If you are not sure where to begin with your assignment, drop by the Senior Library! The librarians are always happy to help you with your questions.
